What are the requirement to schedule a road test for a junior operator (under 18)
The junior operator must complete the following before scheduling a road test:
1. Driver's ed training completed and a driver's ed certificate issued.
2. You will need to have held a permit for at least six months with a clean driving record for six months prior to testing.
3. Parents must verify 40 hours of supervised driving for the junior operator to qualify for testing
Behind-the-Wheel Lessons
When can I start behind-the-wheel lessons?
To begin behind-the-wheel lessons, the following must be completed:
- Completion of your driver's ed 30-hour classroom course
- You successfully passed your permit test and have a learner's permit issued to you
- A parent or guardian has completed the 2-hour Parent Course
- We recommend at least 5-10 hours of supervised driving and can safely navigate public roadways. Otherwise, it may take additional lessons to get you trained properly.
- You do not have an outstanding balance or have made arrangements with the office regarding your outstanding balance.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my driving lesson?
You can cancel your driving lesson at any time in your student center; however, if you cancel within 24 hours of your lesson, you will be charged a late cancellation fee.
Am I able to be picked up at school for my lesson
We offer pick-up and drop-off services; however, they are not for all lessons.
Driver Ed Course
Do you offer flexible scheduling for your driver education programs?
Yes, we offer flexible scheduling for our programs to accommodate the busy schedules of our students. We have evening and weekend classes available to meet the needs of students who are unable to attend classes during the week.
Do I need a permit to start the classroom part of driver ed?
To start classroom driver's education in Massachusetts, you need to meet the following requirements:
- Age: You must be at least 15 years and 9 months old to enroll in a driver education program.
- Parent/Guardian Approval: Some programs may require parental or guardian consent for enrollment, especially for younger students.
Once you meet these criteria, you can register for a driver education program at a school or driving academy that is certified by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV).
Does the classroom have to be completed to start behind-the-wheel lessons?
Yes, in Massachusetts, you must complete the classroom portion of driver education before you can begin on-the-road lessons. The driver education program includes a minimum of 30 hours of classroom instruction, which covers essential topics like traffic laws, safe driving practices, and road signs. After completing this classroom component and parents have completed the free 2-hour Parent Class, you can start your behind-the-wheel training.
Junior Operator's License (JOL)
Who is eligible for a JOL?
- Be at least 16 1/2 years old
- Have held a learner's permit with a clean driving record for at least six months.
- Complete a state-approved driver education and training program, including 30 hours of classroom instruction, 12 hours of behind-the-wheel training, and 6 hours of observation and parent class.
- Complete 40 hours of supervised driving.
What are the restrictions for JOL holders?
Passenger Restrictions: Junior operators may not drive with anyone under 18 years old, except for immediate family members within the first six months after acquiring their license unless they are accompanied by a licensed adult over the age of 21 with at least one year driving experience who is occupying the adjacent seat.
Curfew: Junior operators cannot drive between 12:30 AM and 5:00 am unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Cell phone Restrictions: Junior operators may not use a cell phone or electronic device for any reason other than to report an emergency.
What is a Junior Operator License (JOL)?
A Junior Operator's License in Massachusetts is a restricted driver's license issued to individuals aged 16 and 17 who have completed a driver education program.
To obtain a Junior Operator's License, an applicant must pass the learner's permit test, complete a driver education program, and fulfill the required hours of practice driving.

What is your refund policy?
All sales are final. No refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to the following list: Failure for any reason to schedule behind-the-wheel sessions within the contract period; failure for any reason to attend class within the contract period; failure for any reason to make up missed days of class within the contract period; illness of any kind, including pandemics; you have decided to go to another provider to complete your driver's education for any reason during the contract period; you allowed the contract to expire, for any reason, without completing classroom or behind-the-wheel instruction; in the event of expulsion.
There will be no refunds if termination is related to code of conduct issues.
What type of driver's education programs does your driving school offer?
We offer both in-class and behind-the-wheel driver's education programs to meet the diverse needs of our students. Our in-class program is a traditional classroom-style program, while our behind-the-wheel program provides hands-on driving experience. Both programs are taught by a licensed instructor.
How experienced are your instructors?
All of our instructors are licensed by the state and have 30-40 years of teaching experience. They undergo regular training to ensure they are up to date on the latest teaching methods and techniques.
Do you charge a cancellation or no show fee?
If you need to cancel or change a scheduled lesson, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice, or a missed lesson fee equal to one hour rate, will be charged to your account.
All no-shows and students who aren't prepared for their lesson (e.g., no permit with them, improper footwear, etc.) will automatically be charged the cancellation fees and must reschedule that lesson. The office WILL NOT automatically call you to reschedule lessons.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card, Check or Cash.
How long does it take to complete the drivers ed training?
On average, it takes 3-5 months to complete, but this varies depending on the student's schedule.
